GRANT AMANCIO ORTEGA

Dear Amancio Ortega Foundation.

My name is Maria Triviño, I live in Santa Margarida de Montbui, in Barcelona, Spain. I'm interested in your foundation's grants program, to go to study the first course of “batxillerat” in the United States or Canada.

My level of English is not very high, I just have B1 level, but I really like learning new languages and I think this is an unique opportunity to study and learn about some new cultures. All this doesn’t mean that I am not good student, my mean of E.S.O is quite high, an 8.9 to be exactly. I would like to continue studying and get the degree of law and follow in my mother's footsteps.

My life in Spain is very interesting, I have a family who I have a lot of confidence and I get along very well with it. I have an older brother who is studying at the university and my parents are very hardworking and responsible, the latter quality I have inherited from them. I am also a very sociable person, so I consider that I have many friends who I spend a great time and I know I can trust. Overall, I feel very loved by the people around me and I think that it makes me have a very happy life. I am a very confident person, since I was a child, moreover I have been taught to love myself and to respect others as much as I respect myself. One of my hobbies is playing tennis, I would love to become professional in the future, if that’s not the case, I would like to succeed in the world of dance, especially in the classical dance branch, or known colloquially as ballet.

I hope you will consider my desire to learn more English and meet new people who bring me new experiences and knowledge.

 Yours faithfully,
 Maria Triviño.
